Our Motto:

Ask the owner first

Pat the dog gently

Wait to see if the dog likes it

Our Program:

We believe in teaching kids while they are young all about dog safety. Our program will teach children very basic body language, how to approach dogs, when to leave them alone and safe treats to share with your pup. We’ve even had success with children who were petrified of dogs, and end up patting them on the back.

Our handlers (Lisa and Ash) will be there to facilitate every step of the day. We will bring 1 to 2 dogs, depending on the size of the class. The dogs will be crated during the talk, then the children can have the opportunity to use what they've learnt and pat the dogs. It’s an interactive and educational session that the kids will ask for again and again.

Qualifications:

Lisa is a dog behaviourist and trainer with 10 years experience.

Ash is a dog behaviourist and trainer with 5 years experience.

All staff have their working with children and police checks.

Our dogs are well trained, socialised, experienced around children. They are crate trained, fully vaccinated and toilet trained.

Why choose our program:

Wouldn't it be great if we could help reduce these statistics by teaching children dog awareness, who could then take it home and share what they learned with their family.

Who are our program dogs?

We use our own Golden Retrievers and Labrador, who have been trained to be handled by children and love getting a lot of affection.

What do teachers need to do?

Make sure there is enough room for the kids to sit and learn. We will take care of the rest!
